Resources – 14 Case Studies back

How do you create a National or Regional Evaluation Association?
Where do you begin?

Several years ago, 14 IOCE member associations contributed case studies about the development and operation of their organization. These case studies were recently edited and published in a book, “Creating and Developing Evaluation Organizations: Lessons learned from Africa, Americas, Asia, Australasia and Europe.” The complete text of that book is available here. The core of the book is 14 case studies of evaluation organizations, including information about their creation and operation, as well as a description of their major challenges, solutions, lessons learned and recommendations for successful association development. In addition, there are additional papers on IOCE and evaluation capacity development, plus some perspectives from other evaluation organizations.

This project was possible thanks to Marco Segone and Ada Ocampo who coordinated the initiative and edited the book. We are also grateful to UNICEF for its support of this project and to DESCO for its work in editing and producing the book.
